Clark and his accomplice Carol Bundy are known as the "Sunset Strip Killers". They were convicted of a series of killings in Los Angeles where they lured prostitutes into their car and Clark killed them during sex.

They would pay the prostitute to perform oral sex on Clark and Bundy would place a gun into Clark's hand, and he would shoot the victim in the back of the head.

Bundy plea bargained and, in return for her testimony, received a moderate sentence.
